How Psychedelics Saved Our Marriage and Gave Us Our Life Backā¦
By Mike Zeller

When my wife, Sarah, handed me our baby and ran out of the house mid-panic attack, I knew we had reached a breaking point.
Years of battling complex PTSD, depression, and postpartum challenges had taken a toll on her, me, and our family.
Despite trying every conventional therapy and treatment available, true healing seemed out of reachāuntil we discovered psychedelics.
š„¹ The Early Days of Struggle and Stress
Sarahās struggle began in childhood, growing up in a chaotic, abusive household.
As the oldest of 11 children, she was forced into a caregiver role early, her nervous system hardwired for survival in a constant state of fight-or-flight.
By 2022, that trauma had compounded into a debilitating mix of complex PTSD, depression, and heightened sensitivity that impacted every facet of her life.
We tried everything: therapy, new-age treatments, and medications.
Each brought minor, temporary relief, but the underlying pain persisted.
SSRIs werenāt an option; we wanted healing, not masking.
Watching my wifeās daily battle and feeling the strain on our marriage and family, I resolved to explore every avenue for a solutionāeven ones that defied my upbringing and beliefs.
š The Day We Had Been Waiting Forā¦
Our breakthrough came with a two-week regimen of NAD IV therapy.
Almost immediately, Sarah experienced a dramatic transformation: better sleep, improved mood, reduced caffeine reliance, and a newfound energy for life.
But when a subsequent accident reignited her PTSD, we knew deeper healing was needed.
In October 2022, we attended our first plant medicine ceremony.
Within minutes, the weight of frustration, resentment, and despair melted away.
For the first time in years, we connected on a level beyond wordsāa connection that persisted and deepened long after the session ended.
This combination of carefully dosed psychedelics in a safe, guided setting unlocked something profound within both of us, offering a reset not just for Sarahās mental health but for our marriage.
ā„ļø The Long Journey of Healing Was Worth It
Over the next year, we combined regular ceremonial use of plant medicines with somatic therapy, exercise, meditation, and NAD supplementation.
Slowly but surely, Sarah healed⦠Today, she is free from depression and says she feels 80% cured of her PTSD.
Our marriage is stronger than ever, and our family life has been transformed.
The healing journey also changed me.
It opened my heart in ways I never thought possible, allowing me to experience love and connection at a depth Iād never imagined.
It sparked a passion for helping others find similar transformations, which I now do through my Rewired retreats and coaching programs.
For anyone facing mental health struggles or trauma, I want you to know there is hope.
Psychedelics, when used responsibly in a supportive environment, can unlock profound healing.
I invite you to reach out if youāre curious about beginning your journey.
